SCIENCE TEACHER

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our team. The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons that develop students’ scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement well-structured science lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to different learning styles.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance students’ understanding of scientific concepts.
•  Use interactive teaching methods to make science interesting and accessible.
• Regularly assess student progress through tests, quizzes, and projects, providing timely feedback
•  Maintain a disciplined, respectful, and motivating classroom environment.
• Incorporate educational technology and online resources to enhance science instruction.
•  Offer additional support to struggling students through extra lessons or tutoring.
•  Work with fellow teachers, school administrators, and parents to enhance student success.
• Participate in training, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on best teaching practices.
•  Support school activities such as science clubs, competitions, and tutoring programs.
•  Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance for reporting purposes.
•  Uphold high ethical standards and serve as a positive model for students

REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field with a valid teaching license or certification
•  Minimum of three years’ experience as a science teacher teaching grade one to twelve.
• Applicant must live within Tema, Kpone and its environs.
• Proficient in using digital tools, educational software, and online learning platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain Scientific ideas effectively
• Ability to maintain discipline and create a productive learning environment.
• Knowledge of various assessment techniques to track and improve student progress
• Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational trends
• Ability to address student challenges and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
•  Ability to modify teaching methods to suit diverse student needs and learning styles
• Willingness to work with other educators, parents, and school administrations.
• Genuine enthusiasm for science and a commitment to student success
