INTERNAL AUDIT SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY

To support the function of conducting a risk-based audit, as well as conducting investigations and ensuring adequate internal control systems and appropriate use of company resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and execute audits, ensuring objectives are met within set timelines.
• Evaluate and ensure compliance with internal controls, laws, and regulations.
• Identify risks and recommend control improvements or cost-saving opportunities.
•  Analyze and synthesize data to extract meaningful insights for audit purposes.
• Perform data analytics to detect trends, anomalies, or risks within business processes.
•  Understand and assess IT general controls and their impact on business processes.
• Prepare clear and actionable audit reports for management.
• Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Detect fraud risks and recommend measures to prevent them.
• Support governance initiatives by ensuring ethical and compliance policies are followed.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of four years’ experience as an Internal Auditor preferably in the FMCG sector
•  Professional certification (ACCA/ICAG and CISA) is required.
•  Proficient in MS Word, Spreadsheet, Accounting Software and E-mail
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•  Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects/tasks effectively while effectively using work tools to organize tasks
•  Enthusiastic and willing to achieve own work objectives while utilizing available resources effectively
•  Ability to build and maintain good working relationships.
•  Proficient in working independently and taking initiative.
•  Skilled in making timely and well-informed decisions
