MATHEMATICS TEACHER

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our team. The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that helps students develop mathematical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Design and deliver well-structured lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to different learning styles.
•  Develop instructional materials, assignments, and assessments to support student learning.
• Use interactive teaching methods to make mathematics interesting and accessible.
•  Regularly assess student progress through tests, quizzes, and projects, providing timely feedback
• Maintain a disciplined, respectful, and motivating classroom environment.
• Incorporate educational technology and online resources to enhance mathematics instruction.
• Offer additional support to struggling students through extra lessons or tutoring.
•  Work with fellow teachers, school administrators, and parents to enhance student success.
• Participate in training, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on best teaching practices.
•  Support school activities such as math clubs, competitions, and tutoring programs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance for reporting purposes.
• Uphold high ethical standards and serve as a positive model for students

REQUIREMENTS

•  A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field with a valid teaching license or certification
•  Minimum of three years’ experience as a Mathematics teacher teaching grade one to twelve.
•  Applicant must live within Tema, Kpone and its environs.
•  Proficient in using digital tools, educational software, and online learning platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain mathematical ideas effectively
• Ability to maintain discipline and create a productive learning environment.
• Knowledge of various assessment techniques to track and improve student progress
• Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational trends
• Ability to address student challenges and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
•  Ability to modify teaching methods to suit diverse student needs and learning styles
• Willingness to work with other educators, parents, and school administrations.
•  Genuine enthusiasm for mathematics and a commitment to student success.
