Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services that promote relaxation, rehabilitation, and overall well-being, while maintaining a clean, calm, and welcoming environment for clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform a variety of massage techniques including relaxation, deep tissue, therapeutic, and rehabilitative massages
2. Assess clients’ physical condition, medical history, and specific concerns before each session
3. Customize massage treatments to meet individual client needs and preferences
4. Manipulate soft tissues and joints to relieve stress, muscle tension, pain, and improve circulation
5. Monitor clients’ comfort and well-being throughout sessions and adjust pressure or techniques as required
6. Maintain accurate client records, including treatment plans and session notes
7. Ensure strict hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation standards in massage rooms, linens, and equipment
8. Create and maintain a calm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere for all clients
9. Educate clients on post-massage care, stretching, posture, and relaxation techniques
10. Promote wellness programs, packages, or additional services offered by the spa/clinic
11. Adhere to all company policies, health, and safety regulations
12. Handle client feedback professionally and report concerns or complaints to management
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
1. Diploma or Certification in Massage Therapy, Physiotherapy Assistance, or a related field from a recognized institution
2. Minimum of 3 years proven work experience as a Massage Therapist in a spa, wellness center, or clinic
3. Sound knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques
4. Ability to assess clients’ physical needs and recommend appropriate treatments
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
6. High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
7. Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive massage movements
8. Strong time-management and organizational skills
9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
10. Willingness to learn new techniques and attend training when required
11. Good personal hygiene, neat appearance, and positive attitude
