Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lab Technician to join our team in Jamestown. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyzing results, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct routine laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
2. Collect, label, and prepare samples for testing and analysis.
3. Record, interpret, and analyze data, then prepare accurate test reports.
4. Maintain, clean, and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly.
5. Ensure all laboratory procedures comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
6. Safely store and manage chemicals, reagents, and samples.
7. Assist in research projects and development tasks as required.
8. Maintain proper documentation of test results and laboratory activities.
9. Support senior scientists or supervisors with technical tasks.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
1. HND or Degree in Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 1–2 years of working experience as a lab technician.
3. Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, techniques, and safety procedures.
4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
5. Good computer skills (MS Office, data entry, and lab software).
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
8. Must be a male candidate residing in or willing to work in Jamestown.
