Job Description
The Accountant Officer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the company, advising on complex tax issues and analyzing financial data to guide business decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Process payments, invoices, and expense claims.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Support with tax filing, SSNIT, PAYE, VAT and other statutory obligations.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and relevant financial regulations.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Collaborate with project teams to track event budgets and expenditures.
• Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in accounting
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must reside in or around Dansoman.
