Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the organization's financial records, ensure statutory compliance, prepare financial reports, and support sound financial decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate accounting records, managing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain accurate accounting records and post all financial transactions in Sage Accounting Software.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
3. Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
4. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of payments and collections.
5. Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, SSNIT, and other tax obligations.
6. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
7. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
8. Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing required documentation.
9. Maintain accurate fixed asset and inventory accounting records where applicable.
10. Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by Management.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience.
3. Professional qualification (CA Ghana, ACCA, ICA Ghana, CIMA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
4. Proficiency in Sage Accounting Software is mandatory.
5. Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
8. High level of integrity, respect, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
