Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Area Sales Manager with proven experience in the flour-producing industry to oversee sales operations within designated regions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets for the brand within the designated area.
2. Manage and lead a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, training, and motivation
to ensure optimal performance.
3. Identify and explore new business opportunities, distribution channels, and potential market
segments to expand the brand’s presence.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers, fostering a
positive rapport for sustainable business growth.
5. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to recommend and
implement effective sales and marketing strategies.
6. Monitor and assess inventory levels, ensuring product availability and visibility at all retail
points within the area.
7. Collaborate with marketing teams to implement promotional campaigns, product launches, and brand visibility initiatives.
8. Prepare and present regular sales reports, performance analyses, and market insights to
senior management.
9. Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance product knowledge, selling
skills, and customer service.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures across the sales
operations.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in FMCG sales management, particularly within the flour-producing industry.
3. Strong understanding of the Ghanaian market dynamics, consumer behavior, and distribution
networks.
4. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and manage a
successful sales team.
5. Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to travel frequently within the designated area.
8. Applicant should have worked in a flour company.
