Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Audit Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the organization. The Audit Officer will conduct internal audits, ensure compliance with policies and regulations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute internal audits in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
  • Review financial statements, records, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify areas of risk and recommend improvements to mitigate potential issues.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure implementation and compliance.
  • Collaborate with departments to provide guidance on internal controls and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and standards to ensure audits are conducted effectively.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of audit policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Conduct special investigations or audits as required by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Audit Officer.
  • Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
