Job Description

The HR Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will oversee recruitment, manage employee relations, support organizational development, ensure compliance with labor laws, and enhance overall employee engagement and performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
•    Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
•    Manage the recruitment and selection process, especially for factory and technical staff.
•    Support current and future business needs through development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
•    Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
•    Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management by staying up to date with labor law requirements.
•    Manage employee onboarding, training, and development programs.
•    Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
•    Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and attendance systems.
•    Foster a positive working environment and support health and safety practices.
•    Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills gaps and support workforce planning.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
•    A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
•    Strong knowledge of Ghana Labor Laws and HR best practices.
•    Professional certification (e.g., CIHRM, SHRM, PHR) is an advantage.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HR software (e.g., payroll, HRIS).
•    Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•    Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
