Job Description

The HR Officer is responsible for supporting the overall human resources functions within the organization, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws. The role ensures that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented to support a productive and engaged workforce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in developing job descriptions and job postings.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and shortlist candidates.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, including reference checks and offer letters
  • Organize onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
  •  Act as a point of contact for employee queries and grievances.
  •  Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
  •  Assist in handling conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  •  Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.
  •  Support in audits and legal compliance checks.
  • Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems and support training and development programs for employees.
  •  Assist in processing payroll, leave, and attendance records.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.

REQUIREMENTS

  • HND or bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in HR or a related role.
  •  Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, HRCI) is an advantage
  •  Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  •  Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
