Job Description
The HR Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s vision. This role covers the full spectrum of human resource management, including recruitment, performance management, staff welfare, training, compliance, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: job posting, screening, interviews, onboarding, and orientation.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices in line with Ghanaian labor laws.
• Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR databases (attendance, leave, contracts, etc.).
• Administer employee benefits, welfare, and performance appraisal systems.
• Oversee disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution in a fair and legal manner.
• Organize training and development programs to improve employee performance and engagement.
• Coordinate payroll inputs and liaise with the accounts/payroll department for accurate and timely salary processing.
• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and leave management.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including SSNIT, PAYE, Tier 2/3 pensions, etc.
• Foster a positive and inclusive company culture aligned with the company’s values.
• Act as the main point of contact for all HR-related inquiries and issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ HR experience; prior work in the event or hospitality industry is an advantage.
• Membership or certification from a recognized HR professional body (e.g., IHRMP, SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Ghana Labour Law and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software tools.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Must be in or near Cantonments or be willing to commute.
