Job Description
To ensure the statutory compliance of the Company with all existing law and regulatory requirements. Ensure legal protection in all the Company’s commercial transactions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide all legal Secretariat duties to the company.
- Provide legal advisory and interpretation services to the Company and its board.
- Conduct requisite legal compliance checks.
- Review and advice on MOUs, SLAs, Contracts etc between the Company and third parties.
- Keep and maintain up to date records on all Agreements, Contracts, SLAs & MOUs.
- Track, advice and maintain records on all pending and potential litigations.
- Attend court hearings for and on behalf of the company. Provide support to employees attending court hearings on behalf of the company.
- Liaise with external lawyers to ensure agreements and legal documents are promptly acted on.
- Responsible for monitoring the execution of all legal contracts especially big projects to ensure the Company does not lose any advantage and can claim penalty if the need arises.
- Responsible for the Company’s compliance with the data privacy law in Ghana.
- Responsible for TTA processing and approval for the Company.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, law or a related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a legal advisor, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of Ghana Labor and employment laws, regulations and practices
- Experience with interpretation and application of legal texts and statutes
- Proficiency in contracts preparation, review and advising
- Expert Knowledge of company secretarial duties.
- Excellent communication, presentation, research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic and willing to achieve own work objectives while utilizing available resources effectively.
- Excellent reporting and negotiation skills.
