Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to manage and coordinate the movement, storage, and distribution of goods and materials. The successful candidate will ensure efficient supply chain operations, timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
2. Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, branches, and project sites
3. Prepare and manage delivery schedules, route plans, and dispatch instructions
4. Liaise with drivers, suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments
5. Track shipments and resolve delivery issues or delays promptly
6. Maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, fuel usage, and logistics expenses
7. Prepare logistics reports and update management on operations performance
8. Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of goods and materials
9. Verify delivery notes, waybills, and other logistics documentation
10. Monitor vehicle usage, servicing schedules, and compliance with road regulations
11. Support procurement activities by coordinating incoming supplies
12. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards at all times
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of Diploma / HND / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
2. At least 2–3 years proven experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain operations
3. Strong knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and distribution planning
4. Good understanding of local and regional transport routes
5. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and logistics software is an advantage
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills
7. Strong communication and negotiation abilities
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
9. High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
10. Problem-solving mindset and ability to make quick decisions
11. Team player with good interpersonal skills
