Job Description
We are seeking a courteous, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Teller to handle customer financial transactions accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, process deposits and withdrawals, and support daily cash operations while maintaining high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Receive and process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments
2. Handle cash, cheques, and other financial instruments accurately
3. Balance cash drawer at the end of each day and resolve discrepancies
4. Verify customer identity and ensure transactions comply with company policies
5. Provide information to customers about products, services, and account details
6. Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation
7. Identify and report suspicious or fraudulent activities
8. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
9. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients
10. Support branch operations and assist colleagues as required
REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of Diploma / HND / Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
2. Previous experience as a Teller, Cashier, or in a similar role is an advantage
3. Strong numerical and cash-handling skills
4. Excellent customer service and communication skills
5. High level of accuracy, honesty, and attention to detail
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet daily targets
7. Basic computer skills and knowledge of banking/financial systems
8. Good interpersonal skills and professional appearance
