Job Description

The Accountant Officer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires someone with strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    •    Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
    •    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    •    Monitor and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
    •    Process payments, invoices, and expense claims.
    •    Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
    •    Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
    •    Support with tax filing, SSNIT, PAYE, VAT and other statutory obligations.
    •    Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and relevant financial regulations.
    •    Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other stakeholders as needed.
    •    Collaborate with project teams to track event budgets and expenditures.
    •    Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of financial data.

REQUIREMENTS
    •    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    •    A minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience; experience in the event or hospitality industry is a plus.
    •    Professional qualification or partial qualification (e.g., ICA, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
    •    Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
    •    Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
    •    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
    •    Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    •    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    •    Must reside in or around Cantonments or be willing to commute
