Job Description
We are seeking responsible, reliable, and safety-conscious drivers with valid Ghanaian driving licenses ranging from Category C to F. The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting goods, passengers, or company materials safely and efficiently, maintaining assigned vehicles, and complying with road traffic regulations and company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate assigned vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company procedures.
- Transport goods, materials, equipment, or passengers to designated locations on time.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.
- Check fuel, oil, tyres, brakes, lights, and other essential vehicle components.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and in good working condition.
- Report mechanical faults, accidents, damages, and maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate trip records, mileage logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
- Ensure goods are properly loaded, secured, and delivered in good condition, where applicable.
- Assist with loading and offloading when required and appropriate.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
- Observe safety procedures and ensure the security of passengers, goods, and company property.
- Renew required driving documents and ensure all vehicle documentation is valid.
- Perform other driving-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of JHS/SHS education; higher qualifications will be an advantage.
- Must possess a valid Ghana Driver’s License in the appropriate category (C, D, E, or F) for the vehicle to be operated.
- At least 2 years of proven driving experience; experience with commercial vehicles will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic signs.
- Ability to read and understand basic delivery instructions and vehicle documentation.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Must be punctual, honest, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required.
- Must be physically fit for the duties associated with the assigned vehicle.
- Commercial driving and goods transportation.
- Truck, heavy-duty vehicle, or industrial vehicle operation, where relevant.
- Delivery documentation and route planning.
- Experience working with logistics, transport, manufacturing, or distribution companies.
